Kawhi Leonard‘s return to the Toronto Raptors was one of the landmark moves of this year’s offseason. Although the trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers
Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic discussed how veteran forward Kawhi Leonard will influence the team's offense following his offseason trade from the Los Angeles Clippers. Rajakovic highlighted that Leonard's offensive gravity will generate spacing and scoring opportunities for teammates such as Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley. The coach also noted that the Raptors will maintain their fast transition pace whether Leonard is on the court or resting.
Rajakovic urged patience regarding Leonard's integration into the roster, noting the forward missed open gym time over the summer and has not yet played a game with his new teammates. The 35-year-old is currently ramping up basketball activities ahead of opening night as Toronto looks to rebound from a 129-105 preseason loss to the Miami Heat.
