The Raptors really need to add more depth to their frontcourt to hold their own in the Eastern Conference this season.

Chris Lambert argues that the Toronto Raptors urgently need to add frontcourt depth following their preseason loss to the Miami Heat. While noting positive moments from Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, Collin Murray-Boyles, and RJ Barrett, Lambert believes the Heat exposed Toronto's lack of size and athleticism inside, showing that relying primarily on Murray-Boyles and Jakob Poeltl at center will not be sufficient this season.
Lambert suggests that head coach Darko Rajakovic requires a deeper committee of big men to effectively counter elite Eastern Conference frontcourts. While Lambert does not expect general manager Bobby Webster to make an immediate panic trade ahead of the season opener against the Chicago Bulls, he contends the front office must actively seek undervalued frontcourt talent throughout the season.
