UConn men's basketball head coach Dan Hurley has signed a two-year contract extension through the 2031-32 season, the university announced Friday. The deal keeps Hurley under contract for the next six years while maintaining his annual salary of approximately $8 million.
Hurley, who holds a 199-75 record in eight seasons at UConn, previously guided the Huskies to back-to-back national championships in 2024 before rejecting an offer from the Los Angeles Lakers. The fourth-ranked Huskies begin their upcoming regular season against Gardner-Webb on Monday.
