The Utah Jazz might be one of the most interesting teams heading into the 2026-27 NBA season, because after years of rebuilding, they finally have enough talent to compete for a playoff spot.
Fadeaway World proposes an NBA trade sending New Orleans Pelicans defensive wing Herb Jones to the Utah Jazz. Under the proposed trade framework, the Jazz would acquire Jones in exchange for Josh Green, a 2029 first-round draft pick, and a top-10 protected 2031 first-round draft pick.
The writer argues the move would address Utah's perimeter defense issues following a season where they ranked 29th in defensive rating. Fadeaway World also suggests the package would benefit New Orleans by clearing their crowded wing rotation while returning draft capital and salary relief.
