The Golden State Warriors hope Nikola Jokic could become available next summer, with the franchise believing it remains an attractive destination for a major acquisition, according to Jake Fischer.

The Golden State Warriors are monitoring Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic as a potential target for 2027, according to Jake Fischer on SiriusXM NBA Radio. The franchise hopes to position itself with maximum salary-cap flexibility to pursue another major star alongside Stephen Curry. Golden State reportedly believes it remains an attractive destination capable of landing elite talent via free agency or a trade.
Jokic is currently in the fourth year of a five-year, $276 million contract that includes a player option for the final season. The three-time MVP has spent his entire career in Denver. The report noted Golden State previously acquired Jimmy Butler and explored moves for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant.
