Kristaps Porzingis announced that he will "step away" from the NBA in order to prioritize his health. He has not played for the Warriors this season.

Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis has announced he is stepping away from basketball due to physical limitations. Although this decision is not an official retirement, the Warriors do not plan to void his contract and can still use his $20 million salary in trade discussions ahead of the February deadline.
Porzingis signed a two-year, $40 million extension in June, but his body did not respond well when ramping up for training camp. He is currently not receiving salary payments, and sources indicate he is open to a trade and potential buyout.
