Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has urged rookie forward Yaxel Lendeborg to develop a more aggressive scoring mentality following a preseason mistake. During the Warriors' 104-101 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in Honolulu on Sunday, Lendeborg passed up an open layup under the basket, resulting in a turnover and an opponent three-pointer.
Despite the blunder, Kerr noted that Golden State will work with the 24-year-old rookie forward to be more assertive. Lendeborg, the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, finished the game with four points, nine rebounds, and three assists on 1-of-6 shooting.
