The Washington Wizards have Deandre Ayton working on his post game with Patrick Ewing to solve a flaw.

Washington Wizards assistant coach Patrick Ewing has been working with center Deandre Ayton on developing his post moves ahead of the new season. Tyler Watts of Wiz of Awes reports that Ayton has historically struggled with post-up efficiency, scoring in the 42nd percentile last season with the Los Angeles Lakers and in the 11th percentile the season before.
Watts argues that learning post skills from the Hall of Famer could transform Ayton into the NBA's premier backup big man. Ayton is projected to come off the bench behind Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr, with Watts emphasizing that embracing a secondary scoring role will be crucial for the Wizards' playoff ambitions.
