Wizards Star Trae Young Reveals What It Feels Like To Play In Atlanta Again

Washington Wizards guard Trae Young reflected on his emotions after playing his first game back at State Farm Arena against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. Young, who was traded from Atlanta to Washington last January, described the experience of wearing an opposing jersey as "different" and "cool." He finished the game with 23 points and 10 assists in front of a mostly muted Atlanta crowd.

Young spent seven and a half seasons with the Hawks, earning four All-Star selections and becoming the franchise leader in career assists and three-pointers. He was traded to Washington for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert. Looking ahead, Young noted that the unique emotions of returning to Atlanta would likely subside in future visits as he focuses on his new role with the Wizards.
