Los Angeles Lakers center Walker Kessler is engaged to former Miss America Abbie Stockard, who won the national pageant title in January 2025. The couple met after Kessler's mother spotted Stockard dancing on the court for Auburn University and connected them through coach Bruce Pearl. Following more than a year of dating, Kessler proposed to Stockard at Lake Martin in Alabama on July 4, 2026.

Born in July 2002, Stockard is a former Miss Alabama from Vestavia Hills who advocates for cystic fibrosis awareness. She is currently finishing her nursing degree at Auburn University with aspirations to become a pediatric nurse. Meanwhile, Kessler recently signed a four-year, $130 million contract with the Lakers, successfully debuting in their 2026-27 season opener.
