Long Road Back For Starling Thomas V Leads To Return Against 49ers

The Arizona Cardinals have signed cornerback Starling Thomas V to the active roster ahead of their upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers. Thomas missed the entire 2025 season due to a torn ACL and had spent the start of the current campaign on the practice squad. He is set to make his regular-season return after previously participating in the preseason.

Thomas was promoted following an injury to Will Johnson, causing a reshuffle in defensive coordinator Nick Rallis' secondary. Nickel cornerback Garrett Williams has also returned to limited practice, which could shift Denzel Burke back to the outside alongside Max Melton.
