Wide receiver's pass to QB Brissett could've been TD, but got first down

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson reflected on his successful pass to quarterback Jacoby Brissett during their game against the Detroit Lions. Facing a fourth-and-1 at the Detroit 9-yard line, Wilson completed a 7-yard pass to Brissett to secure a crucial first down.
Wilson explained that he intentionally lofted the ball on the run to ensure a secure catch rather than risking an incompletion. The Cardinals capitalized immediately on the next snap when Brissett threw a touchdown pass to tight end Teagan Quitoriano.
