The team that opened the campaign as heavy favorites to win Super Bowl LXI this coming February was largely a massive disappointment across the season's first six weeks.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed postgame remarks made by running back Kyren Williams following the team's 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Williams had suggested that the team's offensive struggles occurred because he was not on the field enough. McVay clarified that Williams initiated the conversation to clear the air, noting that Williams was emotional and simply eager to spark the offense.
McVay defended Williams as a positive leader, stating that his teammates understood his intentions despite the external interpretation of the comments. During the defeat, Williams logged 40 snaps, rushing for 50 yards on 10 carries alongside three receptions, while teammate Blake Corum recorded 42 rushing yards and a touchdown. The 2-4 Rams next face the Las Vegas Raiders.
