Baker Mayfield Gets Honest Over Kevin Stefanski Rift After Years Without Contact

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield stated he has not spoken to former Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski since 2021. The comments came ahead of their upcoming NFC South division matchup, where Stefanski will lead the Atlanta Falcons against Mayfield's Buccaneers on Sunday in Tampa. Mayfield noted the situation no longer bothers him as they prepare to face each other as division opponents.

Mayfield played under Stefanski for two seasons in Cleveland before being traded to the Carolina Panthers in July 2022. While Mayfield previously expressed frustration over not receiving contact after his departure, he stated the game is not about revenge. Stefanski praised Mayfield ahead of the matchup, calling him an extremely talented playmaker.
