The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. The deal is reportedly worth $78 million and includes $46.5 million in guaranteed money. Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham praised Dexter as a young, ascending talent and highlighted his disruption along the defensive line.
Atlanta previously acquired Dexter from the Chicago Bears in August in exchange for defensive back Clark Phillips III and a 2027 fifth-round draft pick. Through Atlanta's first three games of the season, Dexter has recorded seven tackles and 0.5 sacks.
