Falcons’ Za’Darius Smith is bound to thrive in mini-homecoming against Packers

Atlanta Falcons defensive end Za'Darius Smith is set to return to Lambeau Field to face his former team, the Green Bay Packers, in a Week 3 matchup. Smith played for Green Bay from 2019 to 2021, recording 26 sacks across his first two seasons before missing most of the 2021 campaign.

After returning from retirement this summer, Smith leads the Falcons with 2.5 sacks through the early season, ranking tied for sixth in the NFL and tied for the league lead in tackles for loss. Meanwhile, the Packers enter the game dealing with offensive line struggles and the loss of running back Josh Jacobs.
