One week after leaving the game on a stretcher, Daniels stepped into a leadership role and provided two crucial turnovers in the Falcons' win.

Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels secured two fourth-quarter turnovers to seal a 29-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Just one week after being carted off on a stretcher with a neck injury, Daniels intercepted Brock Purdy in the fourth quarter and later recovered a fumble forced by safety Jessie Bates III.
With starting linebacker Divine Deablo sidelined by a forearm injury, Daniels assumed green-dot defensive play-calling duties for head coach Kevin Stefanski. Daniels led Atlanta with 11 total tackles, including nine solo stops, helping the Falcons earn their first home win of the season.
