5 instant reactions to Ravens’ lifeless Week 9 loss to the Jaguars

Connor Burke of Ebony Bird criticizes the Baltimore Ravens following a disappointing Week 9 defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Starting third-string undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano, Baltimore struggled heavily in an uninspired performance. Burke argues that key veteran players including Marlon Humphrey, Ronnie Stanley, and Mark Andrews let the team down through costly coverage breakdowns and ill-timed pre-snap penalties.

The analysis also points to stagnant offensive play-calling from Declan Doyle and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter's soft zone coverage against Trevor Lawrence. Although the Ravens are reportedly finalizing a trade for veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett, Burke questions whether any quarterback can overcome the team's struggling offensive line and offensive limitations.
