The Baltimore Ravens would have been wiser to consider a trade for Indianapolis Colts backup quarterback Anthony Richardson instead of Jacoby Brissett.

Writer Mike Luciano argues that the Baltimore Ravens should have traded for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson rather than acquiring veteran Jacoby Brissett. Baltimore faced severe quarterback depth issues following injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. General manager Eric DeCosta opted to bring in Brissett instead to stabilize the position.
Luciano contends that targeting Richardson would have provided higher upside and a potential long-term backup behind Jackson. While acknowledging Richardson's career struggles, including completing just 50.9 percent of passes, the author believes Brissett is merely a temporary solution who lacks long-term value for the franchise.
