Ravens’ penalty problem is a dangerous trend they must fix ASAP

The Baltimore Ravens, led by head coach Jesse Minter, face early-season discipline struggles after committing 17 penalties for 120 yards across their first two games of the 2026 NFL season. Baltimore was flagged 10 times for 86 yards in a Week 1 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, followed by seven penalties for 34 yards during a Week 2 loss against the New Orleans Saints.

The offensive unit accounts for 12 of the team's 17 accepted penalties under Declan Doyle's new offense, ranking tied for third-most offensive penalties in the league. These infractions include four false starts, four holding calls, two illegal shifts, one illegal chop block, and one ineligible receiver downfield.
