The Story in 60 Seconds

Buffalo Bills defensive back Sam Franklin has won his appeal against a one-game suspension for allegedly spitting on an opponent. The NFL overturned the ban on Friday, reducing Franklin's punishment to a $14,926 fine following an altercation with Las Vegas Raiders offensive lineman DJ Glaze during Buffalo's 33-30 victory.

Franklin's agents maintained that he never spat at Glaze and emphasized that there was no evidence supporting the league's initial penalty. Meanwhile, teammate C.J. Gardner-Johnson had his separate one-game suspension upheld after being ejected for seemingly spitting at Raiders tight end Brock Bowers during the same game.
