Receiver Brandon Aiyuk has applied to be reinstated to the San Francisco 49ers from the reserve/left squad list and plans to report to the team later this week.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has applied for reinstatement from the reserve/left squad list and plans to report to the team facility on Friday. Aiyuk's new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed that paperwork has been submitted to the NFL following the player's long absence from action.
Aiyuk has not played since suffering a knee injury in October 2024 and was placed on the reserve/left squad list after departing the team last season. While he remains under contract, general manager John Lynch previously stated he does not expect Aiyuk to play for the 49ers again after the team voided $27 million in guarantees.
