Maxwell Hairston has been struggling during his second season with the Buffalo Bills, finding himself on the hot seat entering Week 6.

Buffalo Bills cornerback Maxwell Hairston has been placed on the NFL hot seat heading into Week 6 by analyst Bill Barnwell following a difficult start to his second season. The 2025 first-round pick was benched ahead of Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams in favor of rookie Davison Igbinosun after allowing two touchdown passes in a Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots.
Hairston played just 15 defensive snaps against the Rams as Christian Benford returned to the lineup. Randy Gurzi argues that it remains premature to label Hairston a bust, noting his potential, injury history, and the learning curve under defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.
