The Carolina Panthers have ended their latest chapter with linebacker Claudin Cherelus, releasing him from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement.
The Carolina Panthers have officially released linebacker Claudin Cherelus from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement. The move, confirmed via the NFL's transaction report, concludes Cherelus's three-year tenure with the franchise and allows him to sign with another team once he recovers.
Cherelus suffered a shoulder injury during Week 2 against Atlanta, limiting him to two appearances and one tackle in 2026. The 27-year-old originally joined Carolina in 2023 via waivers and served primarily as a core special teams contributor and defensive depth piece.
