The Carolina Panthers welcomed veteran right tackle Taylor Moton back to the lineup on Sunday and his performance in his first game back opened up an uncomfortable conversation for head coach Dave Canales to weigh.
Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales faces an offensive line dilemma following the successful return of veteran right tackle Taylor Moton. Moton played all 79 offensive snaps in a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles after missing months due to a medical situation. Defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton also returned in the contest, contributing on 31 defensive snaps.
While Moton was sidelined, rookie first-round pick Monroe Freeling started at right tackle before suffering a knee injury in Week 4. Canales noted that once Freeling returns to full health, the coaching staff must decide how to balance playing time among Moton, Freeling, and starting left tackle Rasheed Walker.
