Both Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn went down during Sunday's loss to Cleveland, delivering a brutal hit to a young secondary. But now, Mike Jack is determined to use his summer research to prepare his teammates for the Lions. And…

Carolina Panthers cornerback Mike Jackson underwent surgery on Tuesday to address a groin injury suffered during the Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Dave Canales noted that neither Jackson nor cornerback Jaycee Horn, who suffered a quad injury, is expected to miss the entire season, estimating a recovery timeline of about eight weeks. Both players were placed on injured reserve ahead of the Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Despite the setback, Jackson returned to the facility on Wednesday to mentor younger defensive backs, including Will Lee III and Akayleb Evans. Jackson shared extensive offseason film study notes on Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to help his teammates prepare for Sunday Night Football. Jackson also expressed determination to return later in the season and welcome his third child in November.
