Ian Rapoport reports that Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. (ribs) practiced on Wednesday, which bodes well for his Week 6 availability. Panthers HC Dave Canales said DT Cam Jackson is scheduled to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, per Mike Kaye.
Carolina Panthers right tackle Taylor Moton discussed a serious medical scare involving several blood clots discovered in his right lung. Moton recounted coughing up blood before seeking immediate hospital care, where medical staff confirmed the condition through diagnostic tests. He was placed on blood thinners for three months and kept away from contact activities during his recovery.
Now preparing to make his season debut against the Philadelphia Eagles, Moton stated that his chances of recurrence are relatively low. While he is training to play, the final decision on whether he takes the field rests with team medical personnel and leadership.
