The team placed the special teamer on IR because of a calf injury, and brought back the former South Carolina linebacker.

The Carolina Panthers placed outside linebacker Thomas Incoom on injured reserve on Saturday and activated linebacker Bam Martin-Scott to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Incoom will miss at least four weeks after sustaining a calf injury last week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Martin-Scott returns after recovering from a preseason hamstring injury to take over special teams duties. Carolina also elevated outside linebacker Nick Hampton and cornerback Robert Rochell from the practice squad, providing defensive edge depth with starter Jaelan Phillips ruled out due to a hamstring injury.
