Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero praised second-year safety Lathan Ransom after he stepped in to replace injured safety Nick Scott during the game against the Atlanta Falcons. Scott suffered a rib injury and did not practice on Wednesday, leading Ransom to log a team-high 59 defensive snaps.
Evero credited Ransom's preparation, extra study time, and dedication since joining the team. Ransom's 59 defensive snaps marked a new career high, surpassing his previous single-game peak of 52 snaps against the Los Angeles Rams last season.
