At 5-2, it feels almost like a foregone conclusion at this point that the Chicago Bears will be active at the trade deadline. They have a good team that is ready to compete. It feels like they just need one…

ESPN analyst Bill Barnwell predicts that the 5-2 Chicago Bears will target depth rather than a high-profile starter at the upcoming November 10 trade deadline. Due to limited salary cap space and fewer draft picks, Barnwell suggested the Bears could make a modest trade for Tampa Bay Buccaneers edge rusher Anthony Nelson in exchange for late-round draft compensation.
Writer Erik Lambert argues against this proposed move, stating that adding a fourth rotational edge defender does not move the needle for Chicago. Lambert believes general manager Ryan Poles should either pursue an impactful, high-end upgrade or avoid spending draft assets on marginal additions.
