Lamar Jackson has deservedly been considered the consensus best quarterback in the AFC North. That may be changing with Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Writer Matt Fitzgerald ranks Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow as the best quarterback in the AFC North entering Week 8. Fitzgerald highlights Burrow's recent performance against the Baltimore Ravens, where he threw four second-half touchdowns in a 35-13 victory, arguing that Burrow currently stands out as the premier pure passer in the division and a top NFL MVP candidate.
The rankings place Lamar Jackson at second, Aaron Rodgers at third, Tyler Huntley at fourth, and Deshaun Watson at fifth. Fitzgerald notes Jackson's missed time due to an ankle injury, criticizes Rodgers' high sack numbers with Pittsburgh, and labels Watson one of the league's worst starting quarterbacks due to holding the ball too long.
