The fines for Chase and Higgins are in line with others the NFL has levied against players this week.

The NFL fined Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for celebratory gestures performed during their Week 2 victory over the Houston Texans. A league source confirmed the celebration was classified as unsportsmanlike conduct, with fines according to the league schedule expected to fall between $10,000 and $20,000.
Chase described the gesture as a variation of The Rock's wrestling move, "The People's Elbow," and confirmed he plans to appeal the penalty. The discipline was part of wider league actions that included fines for San Francisco fullback Kyle Juszczyk and Colts guard Matt Goncalves.
