The Cincinnati Bengals are being urged to pursue a trade for Tennessee Titans linebacker Cody Barton ahead of the trade deadline, according to Bengals OnSI's Tyler Reed. With Cincinnati sitting at 3-2 in the AFC North and quarterback Joe Burrow leading the offense, analysts view the team as potential buyers seeking to bolster a question mark at the linebacker position.
Barton is currently in the second season of a three-year, $21 million contract with the 1-5 Titans. The report highlights that acquiring Barton would carry a remaining cap hit of under $6 million for the season, providing veteran depth alongside developing young starters Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter.
