A deep dive into the Bengals' selection of Texas tight end Jack Endries, next man up.

Rookie tight end Jack Endries is stepping into a larger role for the Cincinnati Bengals after veteran Tanner Hudson was placed on injured reserve. Selected 221st overall in the seventh round out of Texas, Endries has quickly built trust with quarterback Joe Burrow and tight ends coach James Casey during practices and special teams reps.
Bengals scouts and coaches highlighted Endries' high football intelligence, catching reliability, and blocking toughness from his college career at Cal and Texas. Endries is now preparing to make his offensive debut when Cincinnati travels to face the Baltimore Ravens.
