During the bye week, two Bengals players were slapped with punishments from the NFL in the form of fines.
The NFL fined Cincinnati Bengals players Erick All and Jordan Battle for unnecessary roughness violations following the team's Week 5 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Safety Jordan Battle was issued a $21,623 fine for improper helmet use during a first-quarter defensive play. Tight end Erick All was penalized $7,073 for a helmet-related unnecessary roughness infraction on special teams.
All received a personal foul for headbutting Miami safety Julius Wood following a kickoff return. The Bengals entered their Week 6 bye week with a 3-2 record after defeating the Dolphins 31-24, ahead of their upcoming October 25 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Proceeds from league-imposed fines are donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation and the NFL Foundation.
