Zac Taylor’s biggest flaw rears its ugly head in loss to Pittsburgh Steelers

The Cincinnati Bengals suffered a 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers after failing to capitalize on their final offensive drive. Following a kickoff that gave Cincinnati the ball with two timeouts remaining, head coach Zac Taylor was forced to burn a timeout before the drive began due to operational issues getting the offense lined up. Quarterback Joe Burrow was visibly frustrated by the stoppage on the field.

During a postgame press conference at Paycor Stadium, Taylor accepted complete responsibility for the clock management mistake. Taylor stated publicly that the burned timeout was entirely his fault and noted that no external discussions were necessary regarding the error.
