The Cleveland Browns could be without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson when they play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken praised quarterback Deshaun Watson for reporting headache symptoms that placed him into the NFL concussion protocol. Watson suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit during Sunday's 27-6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although initially cleared during and after the game, Watson reported symptoms on Tuesday, potentially sidelining him for Sunday's matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
While Monken has not officially ruled Watson out for Sunday, quarterback Shedeur Sanders is taking practice reps in his place. Sanders, who started seven games as a rookie in 2025, expressed comfort with taking over as the Browns prepare to travel to New Orleans.
