Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken praised quarterback Deshaun Watson following a 21-18 victory against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. Watson completed 16 of 30 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover, leading two fourth-quarter scoring drives. His late touchdown pass to Harold Fannin Jr. and a subsequent two-point conversion to Denzel Boston secured the win as Cleveland improved to 2-1.

Watson also contributed on the ground with 11 carries for 45 rushing yards. Monken noted that while the offense still experienced operational struggles, Watson continues to improve. The Browns now turn their attention to a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 1.
