The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to recognize the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Association as the collective bargaining representative for the team's cheer squad.

The Dallas Cowboys have formally agreed to recognize the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Association as the collective bargaining representative for their cheer squad. Both sides confirmed the decision in a joint statement on Friday, marking a significant milestone following years of efforts by squad members to secure pay increases.
The unionization comes after heightened attention from the Netflix docuseries "America's Sweethearts," which documented a prior 400% pay raise. The Cowboys previously settled a lawsuit in 2019 that doubled per-game pay to $400. Labor experts noted the squad's immense public profile aided their successful bargaining push.
