Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown has been fined by the NFL following a controversial hit on Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight. According to reporter Tom Pelissero, the league issued a fine slightly exceeding $9,500 for the play, which left Knight in need of medical attention on the field.
The tackle prompted mixed opinions during the FOX broadcast while Knight was being tended to by staff. Analyst Greg Olsen questioned the legality of the hit, whereas FOX's rules official evaluated the action as clean under official league regulations.
