The running game of the Dallas Cowboys has been a positive for them for the most part since the beginning of last season, but the addition of Javonte Williams nearly didn’t happen. Dallas is making a change when it comes…

Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams revealed on the Downs 2 Business podcast that he considered retiring before signing a prove-it deal with Dallas. Williams faced injuries and struggles over his final three years with the Denver Broncos before reviving his career with the Cowboys. He recently recorded a career-best 155 rushing yards during Dallas' victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Additional team reports highlighted linebacker Shemar James taking over green dot defensive duties under coordinator Christian Parker. Meanwhile, tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford has seen increased involvement over Jake Ferguson to boost run blocking, and Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat has been linked to Dallas ahead of the trade deadline.
