George Pickens’ involvement has been doubted a little this season, and Brian Schottenheimer is now pointing to what the WR needs to get better at. The Cowboys head coach said Thursday that Pickens needs to understand his impact in the…

Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer stated that wide receiver George Pickens must improve his run blocking ahead of their upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Schottenheimer emphasized that Pickens needs to embrace a team-first mindset by blocking safeties and cornerbacks to assist the ground attack. Pickens posted 73 receiving yards during the Cowboys' 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, dropping Dallas to a 2-4 record.
The Cowboys' offense has struggled with balance, generating just 48 rushing yards against Green Bay as Dak Prescott attempted 54 passes. Running back Javonte Williams and analysts noted the urgent need to establish the run game to open up deep passing opportunities. Meanwhile, Pickens was limited in practice due to a shoulder injury but is not expected to miss the game against the Eagles.
