Joe Milton has been named the Eagles' starting quarterback. This could end really badly for the Cowboys.

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly named quarterback Joe Milton as their starter for Week 9, according to NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Mike Garafolo. Milton was signed away from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad on October 16 following an injury to starter Jalen Hurts. The move sets up a potential matchup against Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Writer Jerry Trotta argues that Milton's emergence with a division rival threatens to further embarrass the Cowboys during a disappointing 3-5 season. Trotta questions Dallas' decision to expose Milton to waivers and the practice squad after a strong preseason showing, noting the franchise risked losing an asset it had invested development resources in.
