The Story in 60 Seconds

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens voiced indifference regarding Tony Romo's departure from CBS Sports following his former quarterback's recent legal issues. Speaking on the show Get To The Point, Owens stated he was not surprised and questioned why he should care about Romo's exit. On October 2, CBS Sports announced a mutual parting of ways with Romo following his July arrest on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, to which Romo pleaded no contest in September.

Owens claimed that Romo received favorable treatment despite his actions and noted the two have not spoken since Owens departed Dallas. Owens spent three seasons playing alongside Romo with the Cowboys before being released in 2009, a decision Owens has long believed Romo influenced due to internal friction involving tight end Jason Witten.
