The Denver Broncos released veteran safety Taylor Rapp in a procedural move to clear a spot on the 53-man roster, according to 9NEWS Denver's Mike Klis. The organization plans to re-sign Rapp to their practice squad tomorrow and likely elevate him for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
The procedural release clears room for wide receiver Pat Bryant to be activated from injured reserve. With starting safety Brandon Jones ruled out and Talanoa Hufanga questionable, Rapp is anticipated to either start or see significant playing time on Sunday.
