The Denver Broncos are signing veteran safety Taylor Rapp to their 53-man active roster and elevating running back Cody Schrader and rookie offensive lineman Gavin Ortega from the practice squad. Rapp had reached his limit of three standard practice squad elevations and needed a permanent roster spot to play against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rapp is expected to start on Sunday with starting safety Talanoa Hufanga ruled out. Schrader will serve as the third running back after RJ Harvey was placed on short-term injured reserve, while Ortega provides offensive line depth.
