The NFL has notified Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs and Denver Broncos linebacker Jonathon Cooper that they will be removed from the commissioner's exempt list. Both players, who were placed on the list on August 30 due to separate legal matters, are now cleared to practice and will become eligible to play in Week 7.
Reviews under the NFL's personal conduct policy remain ongoing for both players. Jacobs recently resolved misdemeanor battery and property damage charges via a plea agreement, making him eligible against the Detroit Lions. Meanwhile, Cooper, whose trial regarding domestic violence and strangulation charges was delayed to March 2027, can return against the Arizona Cardinals.
