Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams recaptured his youth in an incredible throwback performance on Monday. He may have to do it all over again in Week 3.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay announced on Wednesday that wide receiver Puka Nacua missed practice with a groin injury ahead of Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. Nacua previously missed the Rams' 28-6 victory over the New York Giants. As a result, Los Angeles is expected to lean heavily once again on veteran wide receiver Davante Adams.
In Week 2, Adams caught eight passes from quarterback Matthew Stafford for 195 yards and two touchdowns. His performance made him only the fourth player in NFL history to post at least 195 receiving yards in a game during his 13th season or later. Adams faces a matchup against Denver cornerback Patrick Surtain II on Sunday Night Football.
