C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s ball-hawking skills and the ability to create turnovers in games have helped keep him in the NFL, but his recent exit from the Buffalo Bills raises concerns about how long teams will continue to take a chance on…

NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe questioned whether C.J. Gardner-Johnson will sign with another NFL team following his release from the Buffalo Bills. The Bills released the veteran safety on November 3 after a one-game suspension for spitting toward Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers in Week 6. Wolfe reported that Buffalo chose to move on due to disciplinary problems and inconsistent on-field performances.
Gardner-Johnson started six games for the Bills, tallying 26 tackles and an interception before being replaced by Damar Hamlin. Buffalo marked the sixth franchise Gardner-Johnson has played for across the last five seasons.
