Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs delivered a standout performance in a 31-24 Week 3 victory over the New York Jets. Gibbs recorded 99 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, adding seven receptions for 65 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown with 2:25 remaining.
Following the game, Gibbs credited franchise legend Barry Sanders, who attended the game as part of Detroit's Homecoming Weekend. Lions quarterback Jared Goff and head coach Dan Campbell both praised Gibbs, who brought his season totals to 307 rushing yards, 156 receiving yards, and five total touchdowns.
